“Education is not an affair of ‘telling’ and being told, but an active and constructive process” – John Dewey.Theory learnt within the four walls of classroom is incomplete, unless it is substantiated with practicals. And so, our children were taken to the Supermarket to feel, see and smell earth’s produce to internalize all that they learned about “Plant Life”. Excited children were frolicking through the aisles of all that was colourful, green and healthy. Students could easily visualize the different food groups from the food pyramid and could talk about nutrition, healthy eating and the farmers who make all the produce conveniently available for us. Children thoroughly enjoyed their visit and were eager for their next field trip !!!
