Frequently Asked Questions
1. What are the benefits of enrolling your child in KinderGarten ?
One of the main benefits of enrolling your child in KinderGarten is that the child gets accustomed to the idea of schooling. The main purpose of KinderGarten is to develop the habit of going to school, preparing children for future learning and enhancing their basic skills (cognitive, emotional and social skills). It is the primary reason you should always send your child to a good KinderGarten school.
Once they have settled in the school, you will realise that not only do they develop a routine, but also understand how to function in a group setting. Hence, to develop connections with other children and adapt in a group setting, KinderGarten schools are crucial.
2. How can you prepare your child for the first day at school?
Dropping your child off at school for the first day is not an easy job, be it for the parent or the child himself. To ensure that they are not taken back, you should sit with them for at least a week before the school begins and make them understand how school works as a whole. You can also share memories of your school time with them.
You have to understand that because the experience and the setting is new, most children react in a certain way when they are dropped off at the school for the first day. However, be assured that once you continue with the practice, it will soon go away, and they will start loving their school!
3. What are the age criteria of various programs offered at Chrysalis Kids ?

4. What is the curriculum followed at Chrysalis Kids?
At Chrysalis Kids, we follow a holistic approach that helps us cater better to the development of the children. For this, we have adopted the domain development system. Domain development is a programme that pays special attention to the various developmental milestones in children - like physical and gross motor, cognitive, social, language, sensory, fine motor, emotions, and aesthetics skills.
It has been done more comprehensively by incorporating the enhancement of these domains in their daily activities. This ensures that teachers focus on the overall development of the child. The child is given an impetus to grow and garner better knowledge across various domains.
5. What is the teacher-student ratio?
The teacher-student ratio is 1:8 for Nursery and 1:10 for Jr. KG & Sr. KG. This ensures that each student is given the right attention.
6. Timings for school and daycare
The school and daycare timings are different, keeping in mind the daycare is perfect for the children whose parents are working. The school runs at the regular hours, during which the child attends the classes and spends time with the teacher and their friends. The school timing is from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, while the daycare timing- starts from 12:30 pm to 6:00 pm.
7. What is the admission process?
The first step for the admission process is to fill out the admission form, and this has to be done either by the parents or the legal guardian. Once that has been done, an informal interaction will be scheduled. Keeping the current scenario in mind, it will be held in an online mode.
Post the interaction, the parents are required to pay the fees and furnish all the necessary documents like the birth certificate and passport-sized photographs.
8. What are the extracurricular activities offered by Chrysalis?
At Chrysalis, we ensure our students undergo an all-around development. It is the primary reason we have incorporated Pre-CHAMPS activities in the curriculum during school hours. We conduct Pre-CHAMPS classes twice a week that include Rhythm O Mania (music program), Happy Feet (dance program), and Yoga and Martial Arts.
These extracurricular activities give our students an impetus to recognise their potentials and analyse their domain of interest.

We understand that sometimes it gets challenging for the parents to drop the child to school. The transport system connects most parts of the city and ensures that we cater to all the students.
The transportation system is completely safe, and you can be well-assured about the safety of your children. A school bus will pick your children from the pickup location and drop them at the school doorstep! All buses are CCTV and GPS equipped, and a female attendant is always present to handle the children with care and ensure their safety.
11. How often does the school have parent-teacher meetings?
We believe that for the steady growth of the child, teachers and parents have to work hand in hand. Therefore, we have a PUPA (Prior Understanding of Pupil Attributes) meeting, where the teacher spends time with parents to understand the child's personality at the beginning of the year. Throughout the academic year, we conduct 4 PTM’s to discuss the child’s enhancement and progress with the parents.

Yes, we introduce different themes every month, based on which the field trips are planned. No field trips are conducted during the online mode.
